Welcome to the Parish Church of St John the Baptist at Adel |
|
Welcome to the web home of the Parish Church of St John the Baptist at Adel in north Leeds.
We are a friendly Anglican Church with parishioners of all ages attending a variety of formats of services, including very traditional services, and more contemporary formats, where we put a lot of time and effort into running a junior church.
There is an active social side to the Parish, with regular Coffee mornings, Barbecues in the summer, walks, including Beating the Bounds (where the Parish Boundary is walked), quiz nights, barn dances and more. |

We are pleased that Val Crompton's book has sold so well.
Since it has been featured in The Dalesman and The Countryman Magazines, copies have been sold far and wide through Wharfedale Family History website.
'History of Adel' has now been re-printed, proceeds are for the upkeep of Adel Parish Church. Copies are available from the back of church or by post from: www.wharfedalefhg.org.uk |
