The historic setting of Adel Church is under threat. A Planning Application for 68 houses on the Greenfield site on Church Lane/Holt Avenue was turned down by Leeds City Council as their policy is for Brownfield sites to be used for building. The developer, David Wilson Homes, appealed and the 1st part of the Public Inquiry was held in November. The Public Inquiry re-opens at 10 am on Tuesday, 1st March at Leeds Civic Hall and will continue for several days. The development is opposed by Greg Mulholland MP and Local Councillors. People can demonstrate their strength of feeling by attending part of a morning or afternoon session. |
