The ancient tradition of 'Beating the Bounds' will take place on Sunday 29th May starting at 9am from Adel Stables, Back Church Lane. This is a circular walk of 15 miles ending back at about 4.30pm at Adel Stables for tea.

We take the Meanwood Valley Trail from Stairfoot Lane to the Ring Road, passing Adel Seven Arches. Then we follow  mainly boundary footpaths to Golden Acre and expect to be at the café at 12 noon. The next section via Bank Top gives great views across Wharfedale and around Eccup Reservoir.

The following is a brief report of the PCC Meeting held on 10 February 2011.

We are very grateful to all those who regularly read the lessons in church and who lead the intercessions on a Sunday morning, but we are always pleased to have new people join us. 

We all serve Christ in our own way and this is one of them.   So if you feel you would like to come on the rota either to read or lead the intercessions, please have a word with either the Rector or me.

During last summer we had a survey of all the trees in the churchyard and the adjoining field behind the stables.

There are (or were) 146 trees in our Conservation Area.

Part of the knowledge gained from the survey was that three trees were diseased or dead and a further two trees required some attention..  This is a good testament to the overall condition of the area as a whole.
