Adel Parish Church News - from Adel Bells and PCC
Holy Trinity Church and Walsingham.

In the Summer, a party from Holy Trinity and other churches went on pilgrimage to Walsingham, and on Thursday October 13th they held a retrospective reunion and celebration. A prayer, intended for this time of year – All Saints-Tide, taken from a recent publication issued by the Diocese of Newcastle entitled ‘Praying for the Earth’ and subtitled ‘Remembering the environment in our public and private prayers of intercession.’ Quite rightly the publication makes the point that what we care about we should pray for, and equally what we pray for we will increasingly care about.

A lovely church for the Harvest Festival

The church celebrated this on the week-end of the 8/9th October and was full of flowers, fruit and produce kindly donated by the congregation.

The flower arrangements and the colourful baskets made the church look rather ”special” with the bread wheat sheaf donated by ASDA adding the finishing touch .

My thanks to the team of helpers, flower arrangers and coffee maker who worked so hard on the Saturday morning.

The baskets of flowers and some of the produce were sent to some people in the parish who are not always able to attend church.
